Most of us have now managed to find our own ways of working around it, while some of us are still getting accustomed to the ‘new normal’. In either case, it is important to understand, now more than ever, that our health is our number one priority.

Now that we are all required to stay at home, it is quite likely to feel much like a couch potato. Or literally turn in to one, without realizing it. With our digital TV’s, online surfing and smart phones- it might seem convenient to simply lay down and ‘chill’, as they say. But, in the long run this routine can easily slip in to becoming a lazy lifestyle. Rather than waiting for that to happen, it is best to take matters in to your own hands and take charge of your life! Just like ‘work from home’ is now part of our normal routine, why not make ‘work out at home’ your new fitness mantra?

Exercising is not just good for your body but has a positive impact on your mind and well-being too. Small changes like replacing junk food with healthier options or cutting down processed food and sugar can also makes a huge difference. If your goal is to start working out, make sure you’re in it for the long run. If you do not see yourself going to the gym or being fit even 10 years later, then you might not be able to maintain a consistent routine. and boosts your self-confidence when you crack those goals. One small achievable goal at a time is the way to go.

If you enjoy going for walks, jogging or doing yoga- whatever it maybe, try to make it a part of your daily routine. When you follow something passionately every day, your mind gets programmed to make it a habit. Slowly, it will come to you naturally and will not require any extra effort.
