Everyday Foods That Are Killing Your Fertility

Hello FitFam,

I hope you all are healthy and fine,

We always eat some common food items every day which may kill our fertility. It is God’s Gif to a Mother, so let’s eat some healthy food and keep our fertility.

Simple Carbs: My advice to you is to replace your simple carbs with complex carbs. I will suggest replacements for some common bad carbs resources. You can have quinoa instead of white rice. White baking flour contains bad carbs, it can be replaced with whole wheat flour.

Low-Fat-Dairy: While low-fat dairy products provide us with calcium and intestinal bacteria benefits, it also contains androgens such as testosterone. Consuming too much testosterone can disrupt your hormonal equilibrium. I suggest having full-fat dairy milk (one serving per day) instead of skim milk.

Artificial Sweeteners: Aspartame is a chemical used to sweeten foods. It does increase the taste but harms your DNA replication, Avoid products that contain this, Especially, “Sugar-Free” foods. Even while it could be challenging to stop using artificial sweeteners at once, Use replacements like Stevia, which is a plant-based alternative, or Monk Extract.

Trans Fat: Any food items that are fried are known as Trans fat. Trans Fat can damage your blood vessels, which carry vital nutrients to your reproductive organs. Some other food items which include Trans Fat are baked treats, microwave popcorn, and potato chips. This includes potato chips marked “Baked”.

Seafood with High Amounts of Mercury: It’s important to eat less seafood that contains high amounts of mercury, Mercury can affect your body in terms of memory loss, depression, etc. Seafood with high mercury content is Swordfish, Ahi Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, and King Mackel. A better substitute for high-mercury seafood is salmon. Salmon has less mercury and contains fatty acids and protein.

Foods with High Pesticides: BPA bottles and canned drinks contain high levels of pesticides, which you should always avoid. It was found that women with high pesticide exposure were 26% less likely to carry a baby to birth. Hence buy organic products and fruits and vegetables like Avocados, Pineapples, Cabbage, Sweet Corn, Onions, Frozen Peas, Asparagus, and Papayas.

Follow these tips to stay healthy and fertile.
