You crave junk food when you eat unbalanced meals. One macronutrient that is mostly quite less in diets is protein and that is the number one reason for cravings. So if your diet is protein deficient increase your protein intake. This will keep you full for a long time and curb those cravings.
The second thing is drinking enough water. The centres for thirst and hunger are right beside each other in our brains. Sometimes when you are thirsty you make misunderstand it for hunger and eat. When there is adequate water intake you won’t crave more.
