Uric acid is a body waste product. Usually, uric acid is eliminated when you urinate. It’s when the body either makes too much of it or is unable to excrete enough of it is when the problem occurs. High levels of uric acid can lead to several diseases like heart disease, diabetes kidney disease etc. It also causes a painful type of arthritis called gout. So if are struggling with high levels of uric acid here are tips to manage it better.
- Reduce the Consumption of Purines: Purines are found in red meat, organ meat and fish. Purines can lead to gout. So consume less of it.
- Reduce the Consumption of Alcohol: Alcohol may increase the symptoms of gout. So consume less
- Reduce the Consumption of Sugar: Sugar, especially fructose or corn syrup can increase uric acid and worsen symptoms of gout. So have less of it.
