A vital vitamin that the human body requires every day is vitamin C. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that is found in many foods especially in fruits and vegetables. The human body is incapable of producing or storing vitamin C. Hence you must regularly supplement yourself with it.

Vitamin C is known for its antioxidant properties that have a positive effect on your overall health thereby supporting immunity. It can indeed power up your defences and aid early recovery. Besides, taking nutritional shakes, tablets etc, vitamin C is also found in many foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. To help you with some of the natural sources of vitamin C, I have mentioned some of them below. Read on to find out.

Oranges, Lime, and Lemon: Citric fruits have a reputation for being enriched with vitamin C. There are a bunch of them and you can choose whichever you like. There is about 700mg vitamin C in a medium orange. Further, the juice of one lime serves 13 mg of vitamin C. A raw lemon, including its peel, provides 83 mg of vitamin C. These fruits can truly meet your vitamin C needs.

Amla: This superfruit is a fount of vitamin C. Daily, just 1-2 fresh pieces of Amla is enough to suffice for your vitamin C needs. That is because about 100 g of Amla yields about 600 mg of vitamin C.
